Centro Studi Italia-Canada: recognition of excellence for Paolo Quattrocchi

The Italy-Canada Study Centre is pleased and honoured to announce an important recognition awarded to its Director, Paolo Quattrocchi, who received the certificate of Canada's Global Executive. The award ceremony took place on 3 April at the Canadian Consulate in Milan, following the event The Canadian Advantage: Canada, a Smart Choice for Your Investment - A Conversation with Canada's Chief Trade Commissioner.

Sara Wilshaw, Assistant Deputy Minister of International Trade and Chief Trade Commissioner of Canada, together with Elissa Golberg, Ambassador of Canada to Italy, presented this prestigious award to Director Quattrocchi, expressing their gratitude for his commitment to strengthening ties between Italy and Canada. As highlighted in the certificate, “Canada's Global Executives are valued friends of Canada and strategic advisors for the Trade Commissioner Service and Canadian companies”, a welcome testimony to the value of his contribution.

Paolo Quattrocchi, a lawyer at ADVANT Nctm, has dedicated part of his career to promoting relations between the two countries, holding positions of great responsibility: Vice President of the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Canada West, he founded and has directed the Italy-Canada Study Centre since 2017, and is President of Confassociazioni Canada. He is also a member of the ONTM Executive Committee for International Relations with responsibility for relations with Canada and a member of the Scientific Committee of the Arctic Intelligence Observatory.

This recognition, which comes as the culmination of over twenty years of commitment to bilateral relations, takes on even greater significance given the delicate phase of international relations, particularly between the EU, Canada and Italy. The honorary nature of the award and the current context lend the event a unique solemnity, celebrating the work carried out by Paolo Quattrocchi and the Italy-Canada Study Centre.

The Italy-Canada Study Centre renews its commitment to continue with energy, enthusiasm and dedication the work of building and consolidating ties between Italy and Canada, continuing to be a point of reference for bilateral relations between the two countries.
