LUISS Summer School 2020: training on agri-food trade Canada-EU and CETA by CSIC with Nctm Law Firm

Two days of theoretical-practical lessons on Canada, CETA and opportunities for the agri-food of the European Union, coordinated by the director at CSIC Paolo Quattrocchi with Nctm Law Firm, on the occasion of the Summer School 2020 organized by the LUISS School of Law
On 6 and 7 July 2020 we will deepen the theme of Canada-EU relations and the prospects opened by the entry into force of CETA for the European and especially Italian agri-food sector.
The two-day training is included in the work of the Summer School (from 3 to 11 July) organized by the LUISS University of Rome which includes a program of lessons on "International Trade and Food Law. The EU and its leading trade partners - Trade - Contracts – Business."
Paolo Quattrocchi, director at Centro Studi Italia Canada, with Nctm Law Firm accepted the invitation from LUISS School of Law to take care of the 12-hour in-depth training module dedicated to the Canadian system.
The central themes of Canada-EU trade relations in the agri-food sector will be examined, particularly interesting for the Italian sector: the methods of protecting Geographical Indications, the new Canadian legislation on intellectual property and food safety. We will also talk about CETA, the free trade agreement between Canada and the European Union. The treaty entered into force, albeit provisionally, on 21 September 2017.
